Book Review: Neuromancer

I finished reading Neuromancer by William Gibson this weekend. I am a big fan of science fiction, but don’t particularly like cyberpunk. Hence, this book was a surprise for me. I liked it a lot. It definitely grabs your attention. I read it in two sessions, on the way to Jersey and back. And guess what: William Gibson has a blog.

Next on my SF reading list: Either Gibson’s Pattern Recognition or Stephenson’s Cryptonomicon.

Good for you. It’s good to know another Muslim is interested in science fiction. I’d look to see how you, as a Muslim, deal with SF issues.

Can you comment more on Neuromancer? What’s your view on the book? Can you please make a blog based on your review of Neuromancer?

Zaki: Thanks for your comments. I can’t promise but I’ll try to write a more detailed review later. I am pretty busy nowadays and that’s the reason I haven’t blogged much recently.

Have you read Stephenson’s Snow Crash yet Zack?

Jim: No I haven’t. I hear it’s pretty good. What are your thoughts?

Anything by Stephenson is very good.

As for Gibson, I liked Count Zero better than Neuromancer, but everything in that series is good.

Have you read Bruce Sterling?
