Sunrise from Cadillac Mountain

Sunrise from Cadillac Mountain

Cadillac Mountain is the highest peak (1,530 ft) in the park. Lots of people go to the summit to watch the sunrise there. It was a lot of fun despite the wind-induced cold.

Yes, I know about that “wind-induced cold.” I’ve stood on that mountain in a 50 mph wind that was so bad we had to use two people standing beside the camera as a wind-block, just to keep the tripod from shaking. But some of the harshest places also tend to be the most beautiful places.
