Where Have I Been?
I have been busy with my daughter. She’s now 23 days old and a much more interesting baby than she was earlier. She smiles, rolls over from her back to her side and recognizes both Amber and me. She’s more attached to Amber than to me, but that’s due to breastfeeding (at least that’s my excuse).
When I am not busy with Michelle, I am writing about her or uploading her pictures at her private weblog, which is powered by Wordpress. If you are really interested in reading Michelle’s weblog, ask me by email.
I have upgraded this weblog to Movable Type 3.11. The user interface is much better in the new version. I especially like the ability to list comments and trackbacks. One thing still missing is any mention of which entry a trackback has pinged. The HTML is much better done in the new version both for the MT interface and what is generated for the weblog.
I have updated my templates so that you can use TypeKey to comment. However, I do not require the commenters to have a TypeKey identity.
The updated MT-Blacklist is much improved and quite amazing.

Conrad: You are wrong :-). There are a number of baby blogs around, for example Cerin Amroth. There are also a lot of pregnancy blogs, like fishyshark and infertility blogs (my favorite is the very funny Chez Miscarriage.

Urdu: To comment in Urdu, include "p[ur](urdu). " (with a space at the end and without the quotes) at the start of every Urdu paragraph. PGP Signing: PGP-signed comments are encouraged. However, clearsigning Urdu text with GPGshell produces garbage.
MathML: Select the Textile with itex to MathML text filter. What you'll use is itex, which is a superset of WebTeX and differs somewhat from standard LaTeX.
Text Filters: For regular comments, whether in English or Urdu, keep the text filter setting to its default of Textile 2. Change it to Textile with itex to MathML when writing MathML.
Wow, correct me if I am wrong but this must be a first - I don’t know of any other babies to have their own blog!!!
This will provide great ammunition years from now when you want to embarass/put in place/generally demonstrate who is boss, as instead of rummaging around for those Baby albums, you can whip out your laptop and make Michelle turn scarlet by showing her friends her Baby blog ;)
