V for Vendetta

V for Vendetta is a movie about a fascist Britain and a sympathetic terrorist in a Guy Fawkes mask who wants to bring it down.

The movie is good. I even liked some of the long monologues. The ambiguous smile on the mask works really well. However, it would have been a better movie if it wasn’t so black and white with all sympathies for V. Also, the ending, which was extremely one-sided also, could be better.

Despite its faults I liked the movie and rate it 9/10.

Is this the highest rating I have seen you give?

I agree to you Zack and i must say that this is one of the best movies i have ever seen especially the acting and dialogue delivery of hero who is playing the role of a terrorist.

Sepoy: You sent me checking my archives. Since I began giving ratings, I have given a 9 to Sin City, Downfall, Hotel Rwanda and Empire Strikes Back.

I haven’t given any 10s, though there are movies I would give a 10 to. For example, the extended edition of the Lord of the Rings (NOT the theater edition).

Mohib: Good to see you commenting.

What a misleading score!
It was too cliche as a political movie, and too weak as a super-hero one. And I shouldn’t mention any thing about its ultra lame love story! The only good thing with the movies is that it is exciting enough to keep watching it almost to the end, and of course that spoils once the movie is seen.

I will give it 4/10.

Probably one of the few movies you gave so much high ratings to, but Zack mine and your taste and ratings for movie mostly differ… I hope its good enough to meet my taste and make me rate 9, will soon be asking the guys in my place if they have it in the DVD.
