Rendition
This is a movie about sending a man, suspected to be a terrorist, to another country so that he can be tortured. The practice of extraordinary rendition actually dates from the war on drugs. It's a good movie, worth watching.

Das Boot

This is a good movie about a marriage across the ceasefire line between Israeli-controlled Golan Heights and Syria. Family estrangement, conservatism, clash between Israeli and Syrian bureaucratic requirements are all depicted well. I rate the movie 8/10.

Oldboy
Oldboy is a revenge thriller. A man is kidnapped, imprisoned for 15 years and then released. Then he looks for his kidnapper and why he was kidnapped. It is an interesting movie. I rate it 6/10 as I foresaw the plot twist.

Firefly and Serenity
While Firefly is a sci-fi Western, Serenity is somewhat different. Overall, I think watching Firefly helped a lot in building the characters and the curiousity for Serenity. So I would recommend watching both. I would rate both 8/10.

Collateral
