It’s Time

Well, not exactly. But we had a doctor’s appointment today and the amniotic fluid seems to be a bit low while the baby seems to be doing fine right now. So our doctor has asked us to go to the hospital right now for labor induction.

I am taking the laptop with me. I don’t, however, know whether I’ll be able to blog from there or not.

In any case, I’ll update after the baby is born.

Off we go to Saint Peters.

  1. May Allah bless you with nice and healthy baby and good health of Baytee Ambrin. Aameen. We have been and are praying.
“He is Allah, the Creator, the Shaper out of naught, the Fashioner. His are the most beautiful names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifieth Him, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.” (Sura 59, Al-Hashr, Ayat 24)
Fowzi was on Swat mountains 2 days back. We do not know where he is now. As soon as we have a contact with his cellphone, we will inform him. He is expected back by Friday evening.

  2. Congrats! I’ll make duas for a safe and healthy baby. 🙂 Unless it’s already been born on the 11th and then well….that is my birthday so you are going to have an interesting child for sure. My dad could warn you but…. Anyway…Cool and Mabarak. 🙂

  3. Best wishes for a safe delivery. Will look forward to copious photos of the cute baby to be posted soon.

There are times when I don’t know whether to admire or worry about your optimism re places and times to engage in blogging 🙂

  4. Thanks, everyone.

Brian: Amber would have thrown me out if I had blogged while she was in active labor.

Renee: Missed your birthday by a day. Some friends who were born in August were hoping Michelle would share their birthday but that was not to be.

Conrad: I think I must clarify, otherwise I might have to head for the doghouse. I took my laptop with me to the hospital and had already signed up for a free AOL dialup access trial. The plan, which I did follow, was to blog as well as email friends and family about the birth announcement. Since Amber’s labor was induced and we had heard that induction could take a long time, I did wonder if I would be able to blog while in the hospital but before labor had actually started. That didn’t happen.
