Flowers and Butterflies

Here are some flower photographs from the Botanical Garden here.

And here are some butterflies from the Butterfly Center at Callaway Gardens.

All these were taken in the spring.

  1. Dad: Thanks. The butterflies needed some patience to photograph and I had a 1.5 year old with me who either demanded all my attention or ran after the butterflies.

Captain Arrrgh: I think it is a tropical pitcher plant of the genus Nepenthes, part of a family of carnivorous plants.

  2. That makes me happy. My little sweetie is copying her dad. You never allowed a butter fly to rest when you were that age and up to 3 yrs.

  3. It is not about these flowers which of course are beautiful and charming for me but about one even more beautiful and dear to me, the flower of our family, Michelle.

It is about mother sleeping before the child while getting Michelle to sleep. It makes me recall with a smile my dear son Zakaria when he was 2 to 4 years. Zakaria would ask me “Abbu Kahani (Dad tell me a story). I would start telling and after one was finished Zakaria would ask for another then another and so on. The result used to be that I went to sleep while Zakaria used to be yet awake. Then Zakaria would vibrate me and say “More story”
