An antiwar movie by Stanley Kubrick which shows the utter futility of the trench warfare in World War I, this is a great movie worth watching.
War Crimes and Military Justice
War crimes happen in all wars. And are rarely punished appropriately. There are structural reasons for that which are unlikely to change. This is one more reason why war should be the last resort.
Das Boot
This is a very good and realistic portrayal of a German U-boat in World War II. While I loved the movie, the Director’s Cut was a bit long for me. I rate it 8/10.
